Other Info	Join us for another collaboration with the Fuse Factory! This time, we offer a mid-level introduction to video cameras and how to use them at an intermediate level. The goal is to set apart the amateur and semi-professional videographer from the back yard occasional family video shooter. It’s designed for people who have already fiddled with cameras and want to better understand what can be done with their own powerful machines. Bring your camera and manual. Instructor: Sean McHenry Date: September 27 and 29 Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm Cost: $55 for both sessions Location: The Film Council of Greater Columbus 1021 East Broad Street Columbus, OH 43205-1357The Film Council’s offices are located in the carriage house in back of 1021 E Broad St. Parking is available in the Red Cross parking lot directly behind the carriage house, which can be accessed either from S. 21st (the alley directly after the church) or from Madison Ave. Please park in the Red Cross parking lot anywhere except the spaces with ACR Vehicle marking on the blacktop. The workshop will be held upstairs. Sean McHenry is an award winning filmmaker with 15 years experience as a broadcast engineer. Other Info	This workshop will cover the general basics of being a producer on a short form movie project – covering: pre-pro, production and post. You will learn how to… * turn your idea (or someone else’s) into a script * hire a crew * find a director * organize the paperwork * cope with setbacks * build contingency plans * barter * everything in between. In the end, you will have a basic knowledge on how to get a project started, keep it going, and see it through to completion. The job of producer varies from project to project, person to person – but in all cases, a great deal of producing comes from personal experience and one’s own style of leadership. This class will show you what you, if you were a producer, could expect in any given project, and how you can take the things you already know and apply them to a movie project to make it successful.
