Movies on Media catalog.

Ellen Dreve, Entertainment
Ms. Dreve is an art educator with an M.A. in
Photography and Cinema from The Ohio State University. As an artist- in-the-schools, she worked in film; as a psychology consultant, she used video
to teach medical students; and as a Red Cross volunteer, she used video to teach teenagers living in group homes. She believes in utilizing the arts to build a better world and creates experimental and activist video toward that end.

Ruffin, Humanities
As a media artist, Kenny Ruffin's focus
is on art through the "lens" of technology. Being equally intrigued with sight and sound, he has worked in the Broadcast and Post-Production fields in video, audio, graphics and sales. Currently a media staff member and adjunct professor at Columbus State Community
College, Kenny supports students, faculty and staff with all things media and teaches audio production through the college's Humanities Department.

Art Graves, Physical Health
A worker's compensation trial attorney handling cases involving
a multitude of illnesses and injuries. Arthur Graves has been a
juror for the Chris Awards Physical Health Division since 1995.
His interests include OSU rugby, classic films, Disney memorabilia
and music events from county, rock and opera.

Barb Plaisted, Religion
Barbara Marcum Plaisted has a B.A. in Speech/Theatre from The Ohio
State University. She has served as president of the Champaign County
Community Players for the past five years and is active in theatre
in the Urbana, Ohio area. Barbara is a founding member of The Philosophers Center, a Columbus study group devoted to the
study of world religions and philosophies.

Juan
H. Crawford, Science & Technology
Mr. Crawford was born and raised in Buenos Aires,
Argentina. He served as radar technician in the British Navy at
the end of World War II. Since 1949 he has worked on new product
development for companies in Buenos Aires, Boston, and Columbus,
gaining six patents. After emigrating to the United States in 1960
he earned BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering at MIT, and
an MBA from Ohio State. He taught machine-design related classes
at Franklin University for four years, and some short classes on
English etymology in OSU's Creative Activities Program. |

Issues
Karl Mechem is the publisher of The Journal of
Short Film. The JSF is a DVD quarterly of narrative, documentary,
and experimental short film. To date it has published dozens of films
from nine countries. In his spare time Karl starts
film projects that
he rarely finishes. |

Alan Jazak is a freelance graphic designer with
his own venture called Formation Studio. He handles a broad range
of design projects from retail, print collateral and identity to
event promotion, direct mail and advertising design. His goal is
to transform information into meaningful communication that will
invite, excite and ignite.

Julie Wuebker began her career as an Assistant Audio Engineer at Disney
i.d.e.a.s Post Production in Orlando Florida. She was then recruited as a Sound Designer for interactive animated greeting cards for Why Not Creations in Milpitas, California. Julie then was able to move back to be close to her family in Central Ohio where she worked as a Sound Designer and Multimedia Developer for the online based training company, MindLeaders. Currently as
the Director, Julie leads the Multimedia Department at Franklin University
in Columbus, Ohio.

Competition
Walter has a Bachelor
of Fine Arts, Cinema Production from The Ohio State University.
Mr. Burbach is an Ohio Arts Council funded screenwriter and has
worked on a dozen independent films in Los Angeles as well as producing
and writing his own feature film. He is president of the board of
directors of the Ohio State University, Department of Photography
& Cinema Alumni Society.
